Aligners are a product of continuous development

Not many dental experts in the field of paediatric dentistry in West Linn or even people know about the most modern aligners. There are many braces that have been introduced that are not even visible in nature but are still 100% effective. Clear aligners are known to have a success rate of 96% which is not at all a bad number. Technology and technique are what it takes to get aligners made that are effective and do not fall off. In olden times, the brackets were attached with thread which had the possibility of breaking very frequently which is why this wasn’t deemed to be a viable solution for misaligned teeth. With the help of modern aligners, we can get the most complex oral defect sorted quite easily. You don’t have to worry about the material causing any harm to the persons mouth. Material such as ceramic and metal are used in such cases that are safe enough.

Given the fact that it was introduced in the late 90’s, there has been a lot of development in this area since then even by the Pediatric Dentistry in West Linn. We have Damon braces that are of self-adjusting type. 3D technology is used so that the experts can create effective aligners that fit the teeth of the patient. They normally take pictures and x-rays of the patient’s teeth and predict the specifications. Two students who were dropouts from Stanford University, had an idea where they believed that they could create braces using 3D technology that were effective and that is what they exactly did.
